In our final instalment for suggestions on what you can do with used coffee grounds - the more vigilant among you will be thinking 'Oh no, here we go again with Graeme's obsession for bio-bean®' - for those of you who don't know, bio-bean® is an award-winning clean technology company

bio-bean® is the first company in the world to industrialise the process of recycling waste coffee grounds into advanced biofuels and biochemicals. bio-bean works within the existing energy and waste infrastructure, developing sustainable products and solutions to displace conventional fuels and chemicals.

This is more for a commercial scale than home use, but still needs better infrastructure across the UK to collect the used coffee from coffee shops and cafes.

Not only will this reduce the food waste and associated costs of disposal, it will then re-use the product to create bio-fuel - in our current times where fuel sources are coming under pressure this has to be a positive use of an otherwise 'waste' product.
